After 15 years
This piece, made in 2011, carries a rare and personal history - it left the artist's hands and found its way back fifteen years later. The upper half of the low, cylindrical body is covered in coral-red lines, carefully inlaid using the artist's signature technique of line inlay - a modern take on the ancient Korean tradition of sanggam. The lines are dense and precise, wrapping evenly around the body in a way that takes both patience and skill. Inside, the glaze was made by hand by the artist while working in Korea - fired in a gas kiln using reduction firing, which brings out the soft blue-white tone of fine porcelain. It is a glaze that can no longer be reproduced, making the interior as rare as the piece itself. On the base, the artist's stamp from that period marks the piece in place of his current signature - a quiet record of where it all began.
White porcelain, colored clay, surface polishing, reduction firing at 1280°C

Hollow : This is the secret
The hollow gives you time before you directly hold the mug. This means that no matter how long you hold ONU, your hands will stay comfortable without getting burnt. Also, when you drink something cold, the outside of the mug won't get wet.
Our team tried of uncomfortable mug handles everywhere, so we removed the handle altogether to solve the problem.
Now you won't have any worries.
Experience ONU for yourself.
Handcraft : True Craftsmanship
Every ONU mug is a meticulously handcrafted piece of art, created through a complex, time-consuming process involving handmade plaster molds, careful casting, firing, and shaping - all completed by skilled hands.
While this dedication to quality means production can take time, it ensures that each piece meets the highest standards of craftsmanship.
Please understand that perfection takes time, and our designer is tirelessly working to deliver the best.
Unique Charm
Since ONUs are made 100% by hand, it's impossible for every product to be exactly the same. Additionally, various characteristics may appear during the production process. This clarifies that these factors are not eligible for product refunds or exchanges.
Typical examples include small black dots, tiny holes, and shapes that may not be uniform on the mug. We hope you consider and accept these aspects as unique features of your own ONU mug.
ONU Cares for the Environment
Your order will be carefully packaged to ensure it arrives safely, but please note that the packaging text and color may differ from the product you ordered.
To minimize waste and show our commitment to sustainability, ONU reuses packaging from our first edition at random. We hope you'll understand and support our effort to reduce unnecessary waste.
Rest assured, the packaging size will be suitable to prevent any damage during transit. If you prefer a specific packaging color, please contact our customer service.
